embroidery setup – Embroidery setups are not always “one size fits all”

June 16, 2013

One of the most difficult things we embroiderers must explain to customers is why we can’t take the logo from their website and then immediately upload it into our system and have the finished order sew exactly as it appears when they gave it to us.

Another difficult sell are the setup fees most of us require to cover the cost of the material and labor involved with digitizing and sampling a design.

In this day and age, where the answer to nearly everything under the sun is a simple click away on Google or Bing, we have people coming in who want to know how they can save themselves from having to pay an arm and a leg for a service that they can, in theory, find a cheaper way to do themselves. Note that I didn’t say anything about it being hassle-free. It just could, in theory, be cheaper.
